The ideal candidate is passionate about solving complex business problems through technology, has a strong understanding of modern architecture practices, and can influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

In this role, you will own end-to-end architecture design across multiple systems, guide engineering teams on architectural decisions, and ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business strategy

What you will be responsible for

Architecture & Technical Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end architecture design for complex, multi-application solutions based on business scenarios and non-functional requirements (scalability, performance, security, resiliency).

  • Define and maintain target architecture, architectural principles, standards, and best practices.

  • Review solution designs to ensure architectural alignment and technical quality.

  • Drive technology modernization, including cloud-native architecture, data platforms, and AI-enabled solutions.

Delivery & Execution

  • Partner with engineering teams to translate architecture into actionable designs and implementation guidance.

  • Support multiple application teams to deliver high-quality enterprise solutions efficiently.

  • Identify technical risks and provide mitigation strategies throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Stakeholder Collaboration

·Collaborate closely with local & global technology teams, ensuring alignment across time zones and locations.

·Coordinate architecture decisions and delivery plans across multiple parallel initiatives (e.g., cloud migrations, platform modernization, regulatory or scalability programs).

·Work with application owners and platform teams to ensure architectural consistency across different application portfolios and transformation efforts (such as AWS / Azure migrations).

·Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Continuous Improvement

·Explore, evaluate, and introduce new technologies where they add clear business value.

·Continuously improve architecture processes, and working practices.

What we value

·Strong sense of ownership and accountability for architecture quality and business outcomes.

·Ability to think strategically while remaining hands-on when needed.

·Pragmatic problem-solving skills with a strong focus on delivering business value.

·A collaborative mindset and the ability to influence without formal authority

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor+ degree in computer science or information technology (or similar) or equivalent experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with significant experience in architecture design for enterprise systems.

  • Strong background in Java / JVM-based platforms or other mainstream enterprise technology stacks.

  • Proven experience designing and deploying systems on public cloud platforms.

  • Solid experience with data and computation platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, or similar).

  • Deep understanding of modern software development practices and tools (Agile, CI/CD, DevOps).

  • Experience working in global or distributed teams across different regions.

  • Strong communication skills in English and Chinese.

  • Experience in the financial services industry is highly desirable.

  • Exposure to AI / ML–enabled systems is a plus.
