Job Description:

 

Key Job Responsibilities 

Program Execution & Value Delivery

  • Own and optimize end-to-end delivery for one or more scaled Agile programs, ensuring predictable outcomes and continuous flow of value.

  • Translate strategic priorities into integrated, executable roadmaps aligned to business objectives.

  • Enable teams to achieve Program Increment (PI) objectives with predictable, high-quality delivery.

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and business leaders to balance demand, capacity, and investment decisions to optimize value delivery and delivery predictability.

  • Provide transparency into program health, progress, flow efficiency, quality outcomes, risks, and cross-team dependencies using meaningful, outcome-focused metrics.

  • Lead executive-level reviews covering roadmap status, delivery metrics, PI readiness, and achieved outcomes.

  • Ensure appropriate program governance through oversight of required delivery artifacts and documentation (e.g., program initiation materials, change requests, and closures) in alignment with organizational standards. 

  • Proactively identify, manage, and drive resolution of program‑level risks, impediments, and cross‑team dependencies.

  • Leverage delivery tools  to enhance planning accuracy, dependency visibility, forecasting, and delivery insights.

 

Program Increment Planning & Cadence

  • Lead and facilitate Program Increment Planning events, ensuring readiness across vision, backlogs, business value, dependencies, and logistics.

  • Own PI‑level communications, clearly articulating objectives, business value, delivery metrics, risks and achieved outcomes.

  • Coach teams in implementing PI planning and cadences

 

Leadership, Coaching & Change Enablement

  • Serve as a servant leader and coach to Agile teams, Product Owners, Product Managers, and organizational leaders.

  • Drive adoption and maturity of Agile‑Lean principles, practices, and mindsets to maximize the delivery of customer value.

  • Function as a change agent, influencing and leading organizational transformation through coaching, facilitation, training, and process optimization.

 


 

Minimum Education and/or Experience Required for the Job

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

  • 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in Agile delivery, program management, or related leadership roles.

  • 2+ years of experience in a leadership role within a scaled Agile program or multi-team environment.

  • Strong knowledge of Agile‑Lean principles, methodologies, and frameworks.

  • Agile or Scrum certification (e.g., CSM, PSM, PMI‑ACP); scaling Agile certification is strongly preferred (e.g., SAFe Agilist, SAFe Program Consultant, RTE).

  • Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices, including CI/CD, TDD, BDD, and modern engineering practices.

  • Experience using Jira for backlog, program, and delivery management.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Strong track record of deploying programs across geographically dispersed environments, including field-based operations. 

Excellent communication and interpersonal skill

Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

High emotional intelligence and ability to influence at all organizational levels..

Proficiency in program and project management software such as Smartsheets, Jira, or similar tools. 

Experience in the collision repair, automotive services, or distributed operations industries strongly preferred

Preferred Education and/or Experience

Program Management Professional (PgMP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable. 

PROSCI or equivalent change management certification is preferred

Other Requirements Travel, physical requirements, etc.

Hybrid role- at least twice a week in the Boyd Chicago-area office

Compensation Details:

$145,000 - $160,000 / Year

Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience. 

Supplemental Pay: 

This position may also be eligible for Bonus opportunities tied to individual or business initiatives.
