Your Opportunity

One Temporary (Up to 16 Months) Full Time Position.   

Capital Power Corporation is currently seeking an innovative and results-oriented individual to join our IS Office 365 Support team!

Reporting to the Office 365 Support Manager, the O365 Support Analyst acts as the support resource for all customer support needs for the O365 platform within Capital Power. The scope of work is primarily system support requiring technical expertise in administration of the environment, taking support calls from business users, training users, and guiding users on how to best use the O365 platform. The successful candidate is self-directed with the desire and ability to work in a collaborative environment.

You will contribute to our team by

  • Performing administration, support, and configuration of Microsoft O365 for Capital Power.

  • Providing highly responsive primary customer-focused O365 Support services for all Capital Power users (via phone, email, and in-person).

  • Creating and delivering training to end users for O365 applications.

  • Providing support services for both operations and capital project initiatives.

  • Understanding and following IT processes and practices.

  • Driving adoption by understanding business challenges/processes and addressing these with the approved Office 365 solutions.

  • Participating in the resolution of technical problems and apply appropriate trouble-shooting skills and ensure best-practice steps are followed.

  • Ensuring correct execution of support procedures is followed by adhering to documented processes and procedures, increase efficiency where possible.

  • Ensuring that any anomalies are escalated to the manager.

  • Ensuring all changes follow the change management process and are documented and approved.

  • Collaborating with other team members within IS to increase collaboration and level of support provided by the O365 Support team.

  • Building relationships with clients to better support their needs.

What you will bring to the role    

Education:  

  • Student in Computing Science, Computer Engineering, or Management Information Systems.

  • Being scheduled to complete at least 3rd year of education will be an asset (approx. 80 credits).

Experience:

  • Superior problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Success at working in a team environment where a customer obsessive culture is paramount.

  • Commitment to meet and exceed individual and team KPIs.

  • Demonstrated professionalism in resolving customer issues.

  • Experience in providing support to business users.

  • Ability to adapt and improvise while taking a methodical approach to troubleshooting.

Technical Skills:

  • Understanding of O365 platform.

  • Customer relationship skills, demonstrated responsiveness, analytical thinking, problem solving, and planning skills are required.

  • Knowledge and skilled troubleshooting in Microsoft 365 and Power Platforms (Teams, SharePoint ( Libraries, Lists and Metadata), OneDrive for Business, O365 Apps, PowerApps, Power Automate).

  • Design and creation of PowerShell scripts to automate administration of the environment is an asset.

  • Understanding of Enterprise Information Management concepts and processes.

Working Conditions:

  • Hybrid Office/Work from home position, with possible very minimal travel to meet business users at Capital Power facilities or other offices.

Additional Details:

Hours of Work: 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week

Union: CSU52 (SEP-IT)

Wage: $33.04
