What will you do?

We are looking for a motivated and tech‑savvy Process Automation Intern to support our in‑house legal team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of law and technology, helping drive efficiency, digital transformation, and innovation within a dynamic legal environment.

As an intern, you will contribute to automation initiatives, assist with enhancing Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems, and apply technical skills to streamline legal workflows.

How will you do it?

At the direction of the legal team:

  • Analyze and map legal workflows to identify automation opportunities.
  • Design and implement automation solutions using low-code/no-code platforms (e.g., Microsoft Power Automate, Zapier, Make, Airtable) and custom coding where needed.
  • Develop scripts and applications using Python, JavaScript, or similar languages for complex automation tasks, data analysis, and bespoke integrations.
  • Leverage AI/ML capabilities (e.g., LLMs, NLP, document intelligence) to automate various legal tasks for e.g. contract generation/review, clause extraction, and compliance checks.
  • Support automation with existing legal systems, including CLM platforms and IP management tools.
  • Collaborate with legal and IT teams to translate business requirements into technical workflows.
  • Train legal professionals on new tools and foster adoption of automation technologies.
  • Monitor automation performance, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve processes.

What we look for?

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Foundational experience or strong interest in process automation, RPA tools, or workflow optimization.
  • Hands‑on familiarity with Microsoft Power Automate or any low‑code/no‑code platforms (e.g., Zapier, Make, Airtable).
  • Basic proficiency in Python for scripting, data manipulation, or API‑based integrations.
  • Exposure to AI/ML concepts, especially NLP libraries (spaCy, HuggingFace) or LLM frameworks (LangChain, OpenAI API), is a strong plus.
  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Curiosity, attention to detail, and enthusiasm for leveraging technology to improve legal processes.

Preferred:

  • Certifications or coursework in Power Platform, Python, AI/ML, or related fields.
  • Experience working on automation or AI projects—academic, internship, or self‑initiated.

Exposure to legal-tech tools, CLM systems, or document automation platforms.
