Dedalus

iOS Developer (m/f/d)

BIH - Sarajevo Full time

Do you want a job with a purpose?

And do you want to make healthcare safer, better and more reliable?

Join our Team!

Join us as our iOS Developer at Dedalus, one of the World’s leading healthcare technology companies, in Bosnia and Herzegovina to do the best work of your career and make a profound impact in providing better care for a healthier planet.

What you’ll achieve

As an iOS Developer, you will design, build, and ship mobile experiences that clinicians and patients love—balancing elegant user experience with robustness, privacy, and performance. You’ll collaborate across product, design, and backend to deliver features end-to-end, instrument them with telemetry, and iterate quickly based on evidence—making a profound impact throughout the healthcare sector.

You will:

  • Take technical ownership of features from concept to release (TestFlight/App Store), ensuring quality and smooth integration.
  • Build high-quality Swift code using SwiftUI and UIKit pragmatically, leveraging modern concurrency (async/await, actors) and SPM for modularity.
  • Champion reliability, performance, and accessibility; use Instruments, profiling, and analytics to guide improvements.
  • Add the right guardrails: unit/UI tests (Swift Testing/XCUIAutomation), snapshot testing, feature flags, and observability.
  • Collaborate closely with product/design to prototype quickly, run experiments/A-B tests, and ship impactful improvements on short cycles.
  • Integrate with secure APIs, handle offline-first data models (e.g., SwiftData/Core Data/Realm), and ensure safe migrations.
  • Automate mobile DevOps with CI/CD (e.g., GitHub Actions) and delivery tooling (Fastlane, code signing, provisioning).
  • Uphold security and privacy by design (Keychain, ATS, encryption at rest/in transit) and ensure compliance in healthcare contexts (e.g., GDPR).

Take the next step towards your dream career

At Dedalus Life flows through our software. Every day we do something special by helping caregivers and health professionals deliver better care to their served communities. Take the next step in your career that will make a profound impact. Here’s what you’ll need to succeed:

Essential Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional iOS experience with Swift; solid grasp of iOS frameworks, app architecture patterns (MVVM, Clean), and Swift concurrency.
  • Proven track record shipping consumer-grade or enterprise apps to the App Store (or internal distribution) with measurable outcomes.
  • Proficiency with SwiftUI and UIKit (know when to use each), Auto Layout, animations, and accessibility (VoiceOver, Dynamic Type).
  • Strong testing discipline, dependency injection, and CI/CD for mobile; comfortable with code reviews and RFCs/ADRs.
  • Experience instrumenting apps with analytics/telemetry, A/B testing, and making data-informed decisions.
  • Comfortable owning projects end-to-end in cross-functional teams; clear written/spoken communication with product and design partners.
  • API integration expertise, networking, caching, and offline-first strategies.
  • Security-first mindset: Keychain, secure storage, certificate pinning basics, privacy budgets, and handling PII correctly.

Desirable Requirements

  • Healthcare domain exposure (e.g., FHIR/HL7, HealthKit/CareKit) or other regulated environments.
  • Performance tuning at scale (advanced Instruments use, startup time, render/scroll performance).
  • Tooling experience: Fastlane, build pipelines, provisioning automation, or mobile platform/infrastructure work.
