Job Summary

The Investor Relations (IR) Specialist keeps the IR team running smoothly by owning logistics, schedules, travel, and day‑to‑day coordination with Executive Assistants and senior leaders. In this role, you’ll plan and execute key IR events, like Capital Markets Day and quarterly earnings activities, while serving as a front‑line contact for investors and analysts. With a mix of organization, communication, and problem‑solving, you’ll support both the Investor Relations Team and the Executive Office, helping ensure Southwest delivers timely, polished, and professional engagement with the investment community.

Responsibilities
  • Provide communication, planning, and organizational support for Investor Relations events, including coordinating investor meetings tied to non-deal roadshows, earnings calls, investor days and Annual General Meetings.
  • Provide comprehensive day-to-day administrative and logistical support to the Investor Relations Team, including scheduling investor meetings, maintaining the IR calendar, coordinating travel logistics, and preparing meeting materials.
  • Monitor industry analyst reports and Shareholder news to provide insights and pertinent data to Senior Leaders on a regular basis.
  • Maintain an up-to-date Investor database, including tracking Investor engagement and contact information.
  • Maintain and update Investor Relations website content.
  • Work with PRNewswire and other vendors to facilitate external communication and news releases (i.e., earnings releases, Investor events and presentations, etc.)
  • Partner cross-functionally within the Executive Office, Communications, Finance, Strategy, Legal, and various other departments to ensure Investor priorities and disclosure requirements are supported.
  • Serve as the primary coordinator for all high-volume inbound requests, including monitoring the Investor Relations email inbox to ensure timely responses, exercising sound judgement in identifying priority of messages and escalating as appropriate.
  • Safeguard confidential company information and adhere to SEC Regulation Fair Disclosure (Reg FD).
  • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of corporate financial reporting and SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy statements).
  • Knowledge of Investor relations tools and platforms (e.g., S&P Capital Access, S&P Capital IQ, AlphaSense, Equisolve, Nasdaq IR Insight).
  • Skilled in written and verbal communication.
  • Skilled in organization and time management, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Skilled in building and maintaining relationships with Investors, analysts, and internal Stakeholders; professional presence and poise when representing the IR team externally.
  • Skilled in supporting event and meeting planning logistics; ability to manage multiple overlapping itineraries and frequent schedule changes.
  • Ability to provide high-quality materials with attention to detail and accuracy to ensure compliance and clarity.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage, and balance multiple priorities and competing requests in a high-volume, fast-paced environment without sacrificing accuracy.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and sound judgement.
Education
  • Required: High School Diploma or GED

Experience
  • Intermediate level experience, fully functioning broad knowledge in:
    • Microsoft Office Suite (strong PowerPoint and Excel proficiency preferred)
    • Medium-scale project management and event planning
    • Experience with CRM engagement tracking systems preferred
    • Administrative Support
  • Preferred: Experience coordinating events
  • Preferred: Experience coordinating logistics (travel, hotels, flights, etc.)
  • Preferred: Previous or current experience within Investor Relations

Licensing/Certification
  • N/A

Physical Abilities
  • Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
  • Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job

Other Qualifications
  • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
  • Must be at least 18 years of age (If the job has a different minimum age requirement, change 18 to applicable age)
  • Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines

Pay & Benefits:

Competitive market salary from $70,200 per year to $78,000 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
