Position Overview:

Finning Canada is seeking to hire a permanent, full-time Investor Relations Manager, based in either Edmonton or Calgary. Supporting the Finning Leadership Team (FLT) and Executive Committees, this role serves as the primary support for the investor relations function. The Investor Relations Manager is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive investor relations programs that define communication strategies, investor targeting, and ongoing engagement. The position builds and maintains strong relationships with institutional investors and research analysts to enhance Finning’s credibility and visibility within the investment community and with the Street.

Job Description:

Major Job Functions:

  • Develop and cultivate relationships with the Street, including sell-side analysts, institutional investors, and other financial community stakeholders to maintain and build investor confidence in Finning and its management

  • Respond to inquiries from investors and analysts for various types of information related to Finning’s business, performance, and prospects to help investors make informed decisions

  • Create and manage a strong reputation for the Company by demonstrating consistent and clear communication between Finning executives and the investment community

  • Participate in calls and meetings with investors and analysts, alongside company spokespersons and attend in investor conferences with Finning executives

  • Lead IR projects, including investor days, investor tours, investor perception studies, etc.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with research analysts and trading desks to gain insight into investor perceptions of Finning, buying/selling activity in FTT, and broader market trends

  • Support the development of marketing and messaging strategies to effectively communicate Finning’s story and value proposition to the investment community

  • Lead various IR analysis to support investor messaging and ensure that Finning executives are well prepared and fully supported to communicate with the investment community

  • Collaborate with Finning operations and corporate departments to stay informed on all developments and

  • initiatives that affect Finning value proposition to capital markets and contribute the IR perspective to

  • corporate and operational functions

  • Collaborate with Finning corporate communications to ensure consistent and effective messaging to all internal and external stakeholders

  • Continuously improve IR deliverables, implement initiatives to advance IR function at Finning, and stay current on best practices and latest developments in the world of IR

  • Provide IR information, analysis, advice, and recommendations to Finning executives

  • Provide timely and pertinent investor relations information on FTT shareholders, peers, trading, research,

  • and other matters that could impact Finning business

  • Produce IR reports and memos for the Board of Directors to facilitate alignment with the Street’s views and Expectations

  • Perform complex financial analysis, including: conducting research, identifying gaps in reporting and analysis application tools and process, design and implement solutions to support reporting and analysis requirements, application of modelling to analyze and interpret financial impact, and measure financial results against budget and forecast.

  • Develop comprehensive financial models to inform recommendations related to profitability of new opportunities, capital investments, revenue models and profit margins.

Accountability:

  • Ensure the investment community is provided with fair and timely access to Finning spokespersons and regular exposure to Finning operations

  • Ensure the investment community is provided with timely, accurate, relevant, and clear information about Finning’s business performance and prospects

  • Ensure Finning investor messages are well understood by the Street

  • Ensure Finning executives are informed of IR-related developments, well prepared with IR messaging, and fully supported to communicate with the investment community

  • Deliver an IR program that is best in class, aligned with investor and executive expectations, and in adherence with the

  • highest disclosure standards

  • Engage peers and broader Finning organization as appropriate in delivering IR objectives and improving IR function at

  • Finning to better serve the Company’s shareholders and analysts

Mandatory (Must‑Have) Skills

  • 8–10+ years of progressive Investor Relations experience within a mid to large-cap public company or related capital markets environment, including management-level responsibility

  • Proven track record of delivering a comprehensive IR program, including earnings cycles, investor meetings, conferences, and market communications

  • Deep understanding of capital markets and investor decision drivers, including valuation methodologies and key performance metrics

  • Strong financial acumen, including advanced financial analysis, forecasting, and modelling

  • Demonstrated experience managing relationships with institutional investors and sell-side analysts

  • Experience advising senior executives and preparing IR materials and insights for executive leadership and Boards of Directors

  • Solid understanding of public company disclosure requirements and governance standards

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field

Assets:

  • Experience in industrial, heavy equipment, resources, or similarly complex operating environments

  • Previous background in equity research, investment banking, or buy-side investment roles

  • Exposure to ESG-related investor engagement

  • Professional designation (CPA, CFA)

Soft Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal effectiveness, influence with C-suite, and ability to build relationships with investment community cross-functional corporate teams

  • Superb written and verbal communication skills, including development and delivery of compelling messages

  • Deep knowledge and understanding of the capital markets, including key metrics and factors used to assess Finning

  • Excellent analytical capabilities, including solid financial acumen and accounting literacy

  • Proven judgment and integrity

  • Ability to perform in a high-pressure environment and meet tight deadlines

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

  • Very strong organizational skills
