The Role

To lead Lloyd’s capital partnerships and investment-led capital strategy across institutional investors, reinsurers and alternative capital providers, structuring investable solutions that strengthen market resilience, optimise risk-adjusted returns and unlock new investment pathways.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Lead Lloyd’s investor engagement agenda and strategy, positioning the market to attract and retain high-quality long-term institutional capital.

  • Own strategic partnerships across capital providers and market participants, building relationships that support growth, innovation and diversification of the capital base.

  • Provide portfolio oversight of capital deployment, ensuring alignment between performance, capital efficiency and risk appetite.

  • Identify and structure new investment pathways, developing solutions that improve access to capital and enable scalable participation in the Lloyd’s market.

  • Lead cross-functional delivery, partnering with underwriting, risk, actuarial, legal, finance and investments teams to execute capital initiatives effectively.

  • Represent Lloyd’s externally as a senior capital markets leader, strengthening credibility with investors and strategic stakeholders.

  • Monitor market conditions and capital flows, translating macro and risk sentiment into actionable recommendations for capital and partnership strategy.

Skills

  • Senior experience in institutional investing, portfolio oversight or capital markets, with a strong understanding of risk, return and capital allocation decision-making.

  • Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders externally, including institutional investors, capital providers, strategic partners and market participants.

  • Strong grasp of portfolio construction and performance oversight, including risk-adjusted returns, concentration, diversification and governance frameworks.

  • Commercial mindset with the ability to identify new opportunities, shape strategy and drive execution through cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent communication skills: able to translate complex market / risk concepts into a compelling and credible capital narrative for non-technical audiences.

  • Experience operating effectively within a high-governance environment, navigating approvals, controls and policy requirements without losing momentum.

Experience

  • Senior leadership experience in institutional investing, portfolio oversight, or capital markets strategy.

  • Leading investor engagement, strategic partnerships and delivery of investable solutions.
