The Request for Proposal (RFP) Writer is part of the RFP team within Capital Group (CG) Global Client Services (GCS) organisation. The RFP Writer contributes meaningfully to new business growth and supports the retention of CG’s existing clients by completing RFPs, Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs) and Requests for Information (RFIs) on CG’s organisation and investment strategies requested by the Europe and Asia (including Japan) clients and prospects.
Primary responsibilities:
· Complete RFPs, DDQs, and RFIs with independence, owning the end‑to‑end coordination process and ensuring responses are accurate, timely, and compliant with both internal standards and external requirements.
· Coordinates and facilitates kick-off calls to review request requirements and to gain a deeper understanding of the client’s needs.
· Partners with Sales teams and other internal groups (Performance Analytics, Product, ESG, Operations, Risk, Compliance) as well as third-party partners to craft compelling written content that articulates our investment philosophy and process across CG strategies and capabilities.
· Leverages our internal content database (Qvidian) and partners with Content Managers to refine and enhance narratives for broader and future use. Maintain / update the Japanese content in Qvidian.
· Responds proactively to ad-hoc requests, demonstrating agility and responsiveness in a fast-paced environment.
· Identifies and implements process improvements to enhance efficiency and streamline the RFP workflow.
· Opportunity to participate in team projects, supporting initiatives related to process improvement, new content creation, or technology adoption.
· Contributes to the training of new joiners, serving as a positive role model for the entire team.
· Timely updates Qvidian request log and Service Now portal current to ensure accurate reporting of the team’s deliverables.

· Strong written and verbal communication in Japanese and English as the role involves regular interaction with Japanese and English‑speaking clients and investment partners.

· In-depth understanding of investment strategies and portfolio statistics.

· Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
· Good project management skills – ability to organise and prioritise multiple deadlines and bring others into the process when necessary
· Ability to balance multiple stakeholders, negotiate skillfully, work together to agreed solution in time pressured environment
· Demonstrates strong attention to detail and organisational skills with the ability to manage high work volumes across multiple assignments accurately, both independently and as part of a team.
· Knowledgeable about current and emerging policies, practices, trends, and technologies relevant to the business.
· Shows curiosity and openness with emerging technologies and data‑enabled tools, including responsible use of AI‑assisted drafting where approved, to enhance efficiency and consistency, while continue to build fluency in systems and processes that support the RFP function.
Preferred Qualifications / Desired Profile:
· 3–5 years of hands-on experience in RFP / DDQ response preparation within asset management or financial services
· Ability to manage multiple deadlines under tight timelines
· Strong attention to detail with a continuous improvement mindset

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
