About the Department

We are seeking a mid‑level Investment Fund Lawyer to join our legal team and support the legal and regulatory needs of our investment management activities. The role involves advising on fund formation and structuring, portfolio transactions, regulatory compliance and ongoing operational matters across multiple strategies and jurisdictions.

The ideal candidate is commercially minded, hands‑on, and comfortable working closely with investment, operations, and compliance teams in a fast‑paced environment.

How You Will Add Value

Fund Formation & Structuring

  • You will advise on the formation, structuring, and launch of investment funds regulated by Resolution CVM 175 (mostly Annex I - FIF).

  • You will draft, review, and negotiate fund documentation.

  • You will coordinate with external counsel across jurisdictions.

  • You will attend meetings with partners and clients.

Regulatory Knowledge

  • You will advise on regulatory matters applicable to investment funds and their managers.

  • You will liaise with compliance teams and regulators as needed.

  • You will attend meetings with ANBIMA and CVM.

Ongoing Fund Operations

  • You will advise on day-to-day fund governance and operational issues.

  • You will manage amendments, investor communications, and fund lifecycle events.

  • You will support internal stakeholders on legal risk assessment and mitigation.

Other Activities

  • You will draft, review, and discuss corporate documents, including Articles of Association and meeting minutes.

  • You will draft and review administrative contracts.

What Will Help You Be Successful in This Role

Experience

  • At least 3–6 years of post-qualification experience.

  • Prior experience at a reputable law firm and/or in-house at asset management companies and/or financial institutions.

Education & Certifications

  • Law degree from a recognized institution.

  • OAB (Brazilian Bar Association).

Technical Skills

  • Solid understanding of investment fund structures and securities laws.

  • Experience drafting and negotiating complex legal documentation.

  • Strong English drafting and communication skills.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Commercial mindset with practical, business-oriented judgment.

  • Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with non-legal stakeholders.

Work Schedule & Location

  • Location: São Paulo, Brazil.

  • Work arrangement: Hybrid, with possibility of working from home twice a week.
