The Role
CAA Evolution is the global investment bank and strategic advisory firm of Creative Artists Agency, in partnership with M. Klein & Company, representing world-class organizations and investors across the sports, media, and entertainment industries. Domain expertise and deep relationships have built CAA Evolution into an industry leader with a strong track record of driving successful results for clients, which include sports leagues, federations, conferences, and teams, film and television production companies, independent studios, creators, video game developers, financial institutions, high-net-worth-individuals, industry talent, and more.
CAA Evolution is seeking a high-performing Investment Banking Analyst to join the team in the New York City or Los Angeles offices. Analysts are expected to support Associates, Vice Presidents, and senior bankers in building financial analyses, preparing materials for clients and managing transaction processes. The ideal candidate has at least one year of professional experience and is interested in accelerating their development within the sports, media and entertainment industries.

Responsibilities
Financial Modeling: Build and maintain financial models, including operating models, DCF analyses, comparable company analyses, precedent transaction analyses, etc.
Presentation Materials: Create polished and compelling presentation materials for clients, prospects, and internal leaders, including confidential information memorandums, deal analyses, industry overviews, etc.
Transaction Execution: Help coordinate and execute transactions, including leading due diligence efforts, data room management, buyer/investor outreach, process tracking, etc.
Industry and Financial Research: Lead the firm’s internal research function, including maintaining company databases, creating industry overview materials, etc.
Client Relationships: Build and develop relationships both externally and within different divisions of CAA
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required with strong academic performance
1+ years of relevant experience including: investment banking, private equity, venture capital, management consulting, or corporate development experience; candidates must demonstrate a strong interest in the sports, media, and entertainment industries but prior experience is not required
Excellent Excel, PowerPoint, and business writing skills
Proficient in financial statement analysis, financial modeling, and creation of presentation materials
Experience with financial databases (e.g., Capital IQ, FactSet, etc.)
Composure and confidence to work on several projects and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Ability to comfortably interact with clients and internal leaders in a professional and mature manner
High degree of attention to detail and an ability to complete work accurately and in a timely manner against strict deadlines
Ability to thrive in a boutique/smaller sized firm, where you will be wearing many different hats and have significant interna l and external exposure
Resourceful self-starter with outstanding work ethic and able to work autonomously and as a team player
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
Strong analytical, quantitative, research, and organizational skills
FINRA Series 79 and SIE required (or willingness to pass exams soon after starting)
Series 63 preferred, but not required
Location
This role will be hybrid, located in our New York or Los Angeles office.
Compensation
The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $100,000 to $125,000. This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus. Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
