As an Investment Appraisal Manager, you will work closely with the business to influence decision making to drive growth and cash generation.

You will manage the financial modelling for a wide range of initiatives including; Asda livings remodels, Supermarket conversions, new convenience stores, car park space optimisation and large store refreshes/remodel

  • Develop and deliver the 5 year growth plan for convenience and Living new store openings
  • Own reporting and forecast of performance vs plan
  • Lead financial evaluation of property related investments – site acquisitions, lease negotiations, capital projects
  • Lead the end to end appraisal including financial modelling, scenario planning and risk assessment
  • Develop and maintain robust financial models – standardised and automated where possible, including ongoing assessment of the returns framework aligned to business priorities
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to develop business cases and board papers
  • Provide challenge and insight to ensure investments are strategically aligned and deliver long term value
  • Present recommendations to senior stakeholders and investment committees
  • Collaborative working across finance and the wider business to enhance appraisal models
  • Post launch review of investments
