What You Will Achieve

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and provide guidance on moderately complex projects, managing time and resources effectively, and ensuring collaboration with Finance for year-round portfolio financial and resource management

  • Apply skills and discipline knowledge to contribute to departmental work, making decisions to resolve moderately complex problems and developing new options guided by policies in non-standard situations

  • Operate independently in ambiguous situations, receiving instruction on unusual or complex problems, and determining objectives of assignments

  • Review your own work, seek directional review from others, and mentor colleagues by reviewing their work

  • Utilize judgment and experience to potentially become a resource for others, providing guidance and leadership on projects

  • Evaluate resource flexibility on high spend projects, build accurate financial reports and models, and provide analysis of portfolio transferable expenses, operational expenses, and facility operations

  • Support the implementation of key performance-based metrics to enhance R&D productivity and optimize financial investments in high-potential assets

  • Identify opportunities for resource optimization to create incremental value through acceleration, cost reduction, and increased patient benefits, and develop compelling high-impact product concepts

  • Manage change control for GMP analytical instrumentation, equipment, systems, and associated services, and execute qualitative and quantitative product testing to support R&D product development

  • Stay current on cGMPs, GLPs, and best practices in manufacturing, testing, safety, compliance, investigations, and procedures, while mentoring junior team members and communicating with customers to ensure timely and appropriate progress of work

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

  • A BA/BS with at least 4 years of experience or MBA/MS with at least 2 years of experience or PhD/JD with any years of experience

  • Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs

  • Strong project management capabilities

  • Advanced analytical thinking and data analysis skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)

  • Master’s degree (MA/MS/MBA) with over 3 years of relevant experience, or a Doctoral Degree (PhD/PharmD/JD)

  • Proficiency in utilizing laboratory instrumentation and methodologies such as UV, HPLC, pH, Endotoxin, and PCR

  • Experience in managing R&D portfolios and financial resources

  • Knowledge of cGMPs, GLPs, and best practices in manufacturing and testing

  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and enhance productivity. Demonstrated curiosity for exploring how these tools can improve outcomes and understanding of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use
