Job Summary
This position supports the security function by protecting company assets and employees through proactive risk identification and investigation. The Security Investigator conducts thorough investigations into incidents such as theft, fraud, workplace violence, sales misconduct, policy violations and other criminal or personal misconduct across various business channels.Job Description
Core Responsibilities
Lead sensitive investigations, including conducting interviews of suspects, witnesses and victims.
Conduct deep-dive root cause analysis and identify opportunities to mitigate risk to the company and customers.
Produce timely, objective and detailed investigative reports.
Communicate investigative findings concisely, accurately, and clearly to all levels of leadership.
Prioritize and manage investigations to ensure timely, end-to-end case resolution.
Develop and maintain familiarity with company systems, policies, procedures, products and services.
Build strong relationships with key partners and leaders.
Maintain technical proficiency with several internal and external investigative tools and techniques.
Develops and maintains a professional working relationship with various law enforcement agencies. Often acts as single point-of-contact with law enforcement in cases involving employees or customers.
Develops and presents training programs to employees on numerous security related topics, to include but not limited to security awareness, robbery and fraud prevention, workplace violence, sales integrity, etc.
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Work nights and weekends, variable schedule, and overtime as needed.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
5–8 years of relevant experience in investigations or related fields, such as corporate security, law enforcement, loss prevention, or compliance.
Experience working in a corporate security or retail asset protection environment
CFE, CFI, or other relevant certification
Formal training and practical experience in interviewing
Knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Education
Bachelor's Degree
