Our values of being trusted, sustainably minded, innovative, generous and curious guide everything we do.

As we continue to expand our footprint across Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, our purpose built three site campus connects our people and our future legacy. These spaces form a centre of excellence for design, innovation and worldclass performance.

Based at our Auckland offices, the Investigation Officer plays a critical role in protecting Fisher & Paykel’s legal position, reputation, and enterprise integrity.

This is a specialist role requiring sound judgement, discretion and an ability to navigate sensitive matters with independence and confidence. You will manage enterprise level investigations, oversee whistleblower cases, and work closely with senior leadership, parent company governance, Internal Audit and key stakeholders around the world. The role will provide guidance and assist in educating the business in best practice, methodology and use of tools.

You will proactively lead fair, timely and effective investigations into suspected fraud, corruption and serious misconduct across our global operations and functional teams, ensuring issues are addressed consistently and outcomes strengthen internal controls and reinforce our speak-up culture.

So that’s the role. Who are you?

You are an experienced investigator who understands how to balance objectivity, process and empathy when dealing with sensitive issues. You can quickly assess allegations, identify key risks at a range of levels, and lead complex investigations from intake to findings, producing clear, defensible reports suitable for Executive and Board level review.

You will be someone who:

  • Has experience investigating complex workplace, fraud or organisational misconduct matters, ideally in multi‑jurisdictional environments
  • Demonstrates high integrity and excellent judgement when handling confidential information
  • Communicates clearly, and can present findings to diverse audiences
  • Builds trusted, independent relationships while maintaining impartiality and procedural fairness
  • Can identify systemic risks and work collaboratively to strengthen enterprise controls
  • Understands relevant privacy, whistleblowing and compliance frameworks
  • Thrives in environments requiring resilience, professionalism and a calm, methodical approach

Tertiary qualifications in Law, Accounting/Finance, Business, Criminology or a related field will serve you well in this role.

What you'll do

  • Lead independent investigations into serious misconduct, fraud and integrity breaches
  • Manage whistleblower matters including triage, case governance and reporting
  • Preserve, analyse and document evidence to legal and regulatory standards
  • Prepare high quality investigation reports and recommendations
  • Provide insights to leaders on systemic risks and opportunities to strengthen controls
  • Partner with Internal Audit on emerging risk indicators
  • Support engagement with regulators, law enforcement and parent company governance
  • Promote fraud and corruption awareness across the business and reinforce our speak up culture
