Role Description

- The AFC External Fraud Investigations Team, as part of the Anti-Fraud Unit, handles individual cases around external fraud with the aim of reducing potential losses and risks for the bank and its clients. This involves ongoing interaction with the business units and infrastructure functions.
- As an Investigation Analyst in the AFC External Fraud Investigations APMEA team, you will be responsible for the holistic processing of external fraud cases in the APMEA region. You will also support the further development of the APMEA fraud investigations framework.

Your key responsibilities
This role reports to the head of AFU – Investigations team in Bangalore delivery Centre. The team in Bangalore is responsible for operations and supports the tasks below:
- Conduct a detail investigation of the External Fraud case review requests received by wider AFU team
- Logging External Fraud (EF) incidents in the region and making incident report
- Provide guidance for resolution on External Fraud incidents to various branches in APMEA, in line with the supporting document
- Assist with making and circulating MI related to (EF)
- Evaluate/assist in evaluation of volume trends, procedures, QA feedback, audit finding and recommend/create action plan for training, procedural enhancements and/ audit gap mitigation, if any
- Assists with internal, external audits and regulatory inspections, when required.
Your skills and experience
- Proven experience in control functions such as Financial Crime, Compliance, or Risk, with strong knowledge of Fraud Management.
- Demonstrated experience in fraud investigation across various products and regions.
- Proficiency with AFC platforms, such as Actimize or other fraud case management / research tools
- Self-driven, good interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.
- ACAMS or similar industrial accreditation would be highly desirable.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

- Educated to bachelor’s degree level or equivalent qualification with at least 5+ years of relevant experience
