Job Purpose and Summary
The Manager of Inventory, Quality, and Control is responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management (core production, NPI/Damages, cycle counts, slotting) and quality assurance (security, investigations, root cause analysis, inventory variance investigation) within the distribution center.
This position reports to the IQC Regional Director and collaborates across the supply chain network to create, develop, and improve processes and procedures to maximize operational efficiencies in collaboration with Distribution Operations, Corporate Compliance, Corporate Asset Protection, Security, Finance, and COE's. All duties are to be performed in accordance with CVS Health policies, practices, and procedures.
Driving the performance of assigned operational areas within a distribution center facility will be critical. This individual will also contribute to profit, expense, and customer service goal achievement as well as compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
Process Improvement (20%)
Identify opportunities to streamline inventory management processes and enhance efficiency
Implement best practices and innovative solutions to optimize inventory accuracy and minimize 8 wastes
Drive initiatives to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and inventory metrics
Strategically manage slotting activities and projects aligned to the continuous improvement roadmap
Inventory Management (20%)
Develop and implement inventory control procedures to ensure accurate inventory levels
Coordinate and conduct regular cycle counts, inventory audits, and reconciliations to minimize discrepancies
Analyze inventory data and trends to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
Work closely with procurement and logistics teams to optimize inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment
Quality Assurance (20%)
Establish and enforce quality standards for incoming and outgoing products, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
Implement quality control measures to identify and address defects or discrepancies in products, packaging, and documentation as well as in process and personnel
Conduct regular inspections and quality audits to assess the effectiveness of quality management systems
Join forces with cross-functional teams to drive root cause analysis and corrective actions in line with the CVS operating system
Team Leadership (20%)
Lead and mentor a team of inventory control and quality assurance associates, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the department
Ensure that all team members adhere to safety protocols and compliance standards at all times
Asset Protection (20%)
Manage, coordinate (in conjunction with DC Management), and control activities relating to asset protection and loss containment
Oversee the implementation and management of security measures to protect company assets, reduce shrink, and ensure a safe environment for employees and vendors
Build security and alarm systems, conduct investigations (actual and suspected), and coordinate with law enforcement agencies
Prior Work Experience: 8 to 10 years of related work experience
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in inventory control, quality management, asset protection, or related roles, preferably in a distribution or logistics environment
Strong understanding of inventory management principles, quality assurance standards, investigations, and regulatory requirements
Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team and drive results
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office applications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels
Regular and reliable on-site attendance
5% travel
Preferred Qualifications
APICS CPIM or CLTD certification
Six Sigma Green Belt certification
PMP certification
LP Qualified (LPQ) or LP Certified (LPC) certification
Understanding of Government Regulatory expectations (OSHA,DEP, FDA)
Education
Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred or verifiable High School Diploma/GED accompanied by 10+ years of related on the job experience in lieu of degree

The typical pay range for this role is:
$66,330.00 - $145,860.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
