About the Role
As Inventory Manager, you will lead strategic inventory initiatives across global operations, leveraging advanced analytics, automation, and machine learning to optimize inventory levels, reduce waste, and improve supply chain responsiveness. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Product Management, and Finance to drive data-informed decisions and continuous improvement in inventory governance.
What You Will Do
- Lead the development and execution of global inventory strategies aligned with financial and operational goals.
- Own monthly Executive SIOP reviews and drive alignment across planning, procurement, and manufacturing teams.
- Design and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI, Qlik Sense, or similar BI tools to monitor inventory KPIs (e.g., turns, E&O, fill rate).
- Utilize predictive analytics and machine learning models to forecast inventory needs and identify reduction opportunities.
- Implement automation tools for real-time inventory tracking, replenishment, and cycle counting.
- Collaborate with IT and data science teams to integrate AI-driven forecasting and demand sensing capabilities.
- Manage inventory targets through dynamic safety stock adjustments and build-to-stock models.
- Partner with factories and suppliers to ensure supply visibility and mitigate backorders.
- Conduct root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies and leads corrective action plans.
- Supervise and mentor a team of inventory analysts and planners.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making across the supply chain.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Operations, Engineering, Finance, or related field; master’s preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in inventory management, supply chain, or finance roles.
- 3+ years of experience in people management and cross-functional leadership.
- Proficiency in SAP, Power BI, Qlik Sense, and advanced Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data modeling, forecasting, and machine learning applications.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in global supply chains and multicultural business environments.
Bonus Points if You Have
- Experience with AI-driven forecasting tools and inventory optimization algorithms.
- Familiarity with ERP integrations, IoT-enabled inventory systems, and cloud-based analytics platforms.
- Experience in leading global cross-functional teams.
What Makes You Eligible
- Willingness to travel 10-15% domestically and internationally.
- Willing and able to work in an office-based environment in Richardson, TX or Northridge, CA. (Hybrid Model)
- Due to the nature of global infrastructure, you understand that flexibility in working hours is required.
- Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment (post-offer).
