OVERVIEW:

The Inventory Management Specialist II is responsible for managing inventory processes with increased independence, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely execution of shipping and receiving operations. This role plays a key part in maintaining inventory integrity, supporting operational flow, and identifying opportunities for process improvement. The position also contributes to resolving discrepancies, analyzing inventory data, and supporting the development of less experienced team members.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND SKILLS:

Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Inventory Management and Control.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels, initiating replenishment actions as needed to support operational demands.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and investigate discrepancies to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within ERP or inventory management systems.
  • Shipping and Receiving Operations.
  • Oversee receiving processes, including verification, documentation, and system updates.
  • Coordinate and execute shipping schedules, including carrier selection and logistics coordination.
  • Ensure proper packaging, labeling, and compliance with all shipping regulations and company standards.
  • Data Analysis and Problem Resolution.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to shipments, returns, and stock levels.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory and logistics processes.
  • Collaboration and Team Support.
  • Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure alignment and efficiency.
  • Train and support entry-level staff (Inventory Management Specialist I).
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

In addition to the responsibilities mentioned above, tasks relating to the following area will be assigned as required.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred.
  • 2–5 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or related field.

DESIRED SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
 

  • Experience with ERP and inventory management systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Working knowledge of shipping, receiving, and logistics processes.
  • Ability to interpret inventory data and generate actionable insights.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to work in both office and warehouse environments.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to support shipping, receiving, and inventory handling activities as needed.

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

  • Core business hours are typically 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility based on operational needs.
  • Additional hours may be required to support peak workloads, audits, or project deadlines.

Pay Range:

$42,100.00 - $64,500.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
