Job Summary: You will serve as a Inventory Management Specialist in the U.S. FLEET FORCES COMMAND, BOARD OF INSPECTION AND SURVEY (INSURV) of PRESINSURV NORVA.
Major Duties:
Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience utilizing material accountability processes. Must be able to perform work such as conducting extensive and exhaustive research for required information and reconstructing records of complex transactions. Knowledge of Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) products and Program of Record material technical features and their relationship to supply, maintenance, recoverability and demand conditions. Experience analyzing data, synthesizing findings and recommending decisions concerning material management and supply operations and procedures. Thorough knowledge of NAVSUP/INSURV logistical regulations and manuals governing supply policy and procedures, federal supply classification, to include item identification and specifications. Knowledge of DoD, NAVSUP, and INSURV regulations, programs, methods, and techniques to effectively administer supply chain requirements and manage and safeguard classified and unclassified material. Thorough knowledge of a wide range of well-established and commonly applied supply principles, concepts, and methodologies in the technical supply specializations of inventory, storing, distributing and cataloging. Employees maintain perpetual inventory records (property book) of non-expendable property for the organization serviced. When nonexpendable property is lost, damaged, or destroyed, employees prepare survey reports. In-depth knowledge of automated supply systems used in ordering, reordering, stock control, and disposition of material and equipment for inventory management including ILSMIS database. Knowledge of INSURV, USFF NAVSUP, and NAVSEA regulations and procedures that state guidelines for accomplishing physical inventories. Knowledge and skill in using Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint; and the ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
