What you’ll do:

We’re looking for an Inventory Lead – AUSPAC who is responsible for end‑to‑end inventory accuracy and availability, leading cycle counts and stock investigations, optimising storage and replenishment, and ensuring data integrity in the ERP. The role partners closely with Operations, Procurement, and Finance to maintain optimal stock levels, minimise write‑offs, and support on‑time and in‑full (OTIF) service to customers.


The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Own Inventory Control & Accuracy control for the region including cycle count programs, managing  perpetual inventory integrity in ERP, managing stock status with clear traceability and documentation and oversee stock rotations
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) on inventory discrepancies, damaged/expired goods and stock adjustments; implement preventive actions
  • Collaborate with relevant teams on safety stock, reorder points, and min/max levels to maintain availability with minimal working capital
  • Partner with Finance on stock valuation, stocktakes, and audit readiness; support month-end and year-end close
  • Provide accurate, timely inventory reporting and insights to stakeholders
  • Maintain and enforce SOPs, work instructions, and relevant quality standards and ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 (VIC) and site WHS policies. relevant acts and policies
  • Align processes with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) under the Heavy Vehicle National Law
  • Support external/internal audits and Stocktakes

You will have the following skills and experience:

  • A minimum of 3–5+ years in inventory control or supply chain in a dynamic fast-paced environment
  • Hands-on experience with ERP inventory modules
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, lookups, basic analytics)
  • Demonstrated ability to run RCA and implement corrective/preventive actions
  • Proven ability to lead/co-ordinate a small team and influence cross-functional stakeholders
  • Exposure to Lean/5S/Kaizen or continuous improvement frameworks
  • Knowledge of International logistics and DG handling would be of benefit
  • Be data-driven with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Calm under pressure; able to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Practical problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Clear communicator; can coach direct reports and brief senior stakeholders.
