Role Summary:
The Inventory Control Clerk serves as a key contributor within the Seals Quick Response Center in Corpus Christi, TX, supporting the South region. This role is ideal for someone who is highly self‑motivated, organized, and committed to teamwork. The clerk oversees all inventory‑related functions—order entry, purchase orders, cycle counts, shipping/receiving, and job material support—while helping ensure smooth planning and scheduling in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment. This is a first‑shift position, Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.
Responsibilities:
• Process orders, enter purchase orders, and ensure accurate data entry.
• Manage inventory activities: receiving parts, maintaining stock accuracy, cycle counts, variance reconciliation, and consignment inventory physicals.
• Pull parts for jobs and help coordinate material flow to support production schedules.
• Run and interpret inventory and operational reports to support daily operations.
• Support QRC performance goals: safety, cycle time, on‑time performance, inventory turns, inventory valuation, and outsourcing metrics.
• Communicate order status with Customer Service, Shipping/Receiving, Repair, and Manufacturing.
• Provide professional updates to internal and external customers and track shipments until delivery is complete.
• Assist with job scheduling and planning functions as needed.
• Operate a sit‑down forklift (no scanners used).
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in inventory order entry, processing, and/or handling.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong Excel and general computer skills.
• Excellent communication skills across multiple departments.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and self‑motivated.
• Ability to work effectively in a changing environment.
• English proficiency, written and verbal.
Preferred:
• Experience as a Scheduler, Expeditor, or Inventory Control Clerk.
• Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong planning and organizational abilities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Leadership or decision‑making capability.
• Proactive and results‑driven mindset.
