Scope of Position
The Ohio State University Medical Center is committed to enhancing the quality of care provided to patients and families. Pulmonary Diagnostic Laboratory encompasses numerous testing/ procedure sites throughout the university. The Supply Coordinator is an integral member of a team of care providers who reflect a culture of cooperation enthusiasm and mutual respect. The Supply Coordinator is responsible for developing systems to support supply acquisitions and inventory control for the Pulmonary Diagnostic Lab. Serves as a liaison between different departments regarding supplies and equipment. Helps maintain Joint Commission, American Thoracic Society, and College of American Pathologist standards regarding the Environment of Care.
Position Summary
The Supply Coordinator is responsible for managing the supply and inventory process for inpatient and outpatient service areas. This will incorporate tracking inventory and the supply par levels to assure availability and prevent overstock. Additional responsibilities will be active in cost saving strategies and participates in brainstorming meetings with other employees. The Supply Coordinator will be responsible for cleaning, high level disinfection, sterilization, and assembling Pulmonary Diagnostic Lab and Respiratory Therapy equipment and monitoring the Pulmonary Diagnostic Lab/ Respiratory Therapy environments.
Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process.
