Inventory Accountant

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Inventory Accountant to join our team to provide support and business challenge predominantly relating to our non F1 & excluded inventory areas. This role is key in supporting the Finance team on their journey to becoming a World Class Finance function.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Detailed understanding of all costs associated with F1 inventory.

  • Month end close activities including computation of F1 inventory usage and manufacturing process in line with clear accounting policies

  • Internal reporting of statutory inventory positions

  • Providing accurate and timely month end data for the finance business partnering team

  • Liaising with cost analyst team to help optimise the system information and accuracy

  • Identify opportunities for process and systems improvements, working closely with the business transformation and ERP optimisation teams to successfully implement solutions

  • Interrogate and challenge the system data to enable the business to place reliance on the numbers

  • Accounting for relevant inventory provisions

  • Supporting in the overall inventory roadmap to success to deliver valuated stock within the SAP system

Candidate Profile:

  • The ideal candidate will be a Qualified Financial Professional (ACA/ACCA)

  • Experience and understanding of Finance concepts and fundamentals

  • In-depth knowledge and experience of inventory management within an engineering or manufacturing environment.

  • Experience of analysing and interpreting large volumes of financial data

  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organisation

  • Strong Interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work accurately in a fast moving, performance-oriented environment and to be agile and flexible in approach.

  • Experience of SAP would be an advantage.
