Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking a full-time Invasive Cardiac Technologist for the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab! This is your opportunity to provide care to patients while doing what you love! ​

What you will do:

  • Assist in performing electrophysiology studies, ablations and cardiac device implants and cardiac mapping to aide in medical diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of abnormal cardiac arrythmia to include a vast number of electrophysiology procedures 

  • Assist physician as a scrub person according to prescribed standards. Handle and operate equipment such as fluoroscopy, hemodynamic monitoring, intra-cardiac ultrasound and 3D mapping.  Display understanding of anatomy and physiology, the pathological condition affecting the patient, the planned procedure, and consider any variations that may be necessary to meet the needs of the patient.  

  • Team structure consists of a Physician and a combination of RNs and techs with the expectation to cross train in multiple roles (scrub, X-ray and monitor)

  • Desire to pursue RCIS or RCES certification preferred. 

  • Must be able to perform in a team dynamic.

  • Prepare patients and EP lab equipment, ensuring all tools and devices are ready for procedures

  • This role involves operating and troubleshooting EP lab equipment, monitoring patient responses and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

  • Monitor patient's vital signs, hemodynamics, and cardiac rhythms during procedure

  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards

What is available:

  • .9 FTE (72 hours every 2 weeks)

  • 9-hour shifts (7:30 am - 4:30 pm), 4 shifts per week

  • Rotational late shifts

  • Location: La Crosse, WI

What you need to be qualified for this position:

  • Cath lab and/or X-ray experience preferred!

  • Post High School education in a specialized field: Diploma or Associate level health science program completion in cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, exercise physiology, paramedics or similar field.

  • 1 year of direct patient care experience in a healthcare related field

  • Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (with hands on learning) from one of the following programs; American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 3 months of hire
