Geisinger's Heart & Vascular Institute is seeking a board certified/board eligible Interventional Cardiologist to join Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton, Pennsylvania.Job Duties:
The ideal candidate would be an early career or a mid-career interventional cardiologist.
System-wide, Geisinger’s Heart and Vascular Institute has 69 Cardiologists, 12 Cardiothoracic Surgeons, 12 Vascular Surgeons as well as 82 Advanced Practitioners. Services are provided at GMC in Danville, PA; The Richard and Marion Pearsall Heart Hospital at Geisinger Wyoming Valley (GWV) in Wilkes-Barre, PA; Geisinger – Community Medical Center (G-CMC) in Scranton, PA; Geisinger – Gray’s Woods in State College, PA; as well as select community locations encompassing an additional Cardiologists.
The multidisciplinary team members of the Geisinger Heart and Vascular Institute participate in outcomes and population-based research through the Geisinger Center for Health Research; molecular, cellular and genomics research at the Siegfried and Janet Weis Center for Health Research; and trials of new drugs, devices and techniques through the Geisinger Center for Clinical Studies. The Institute serves as an educational venue for five cardiology fellows per year and advanced fourth-year cardiology fellows, an annual Cardiology Symposium and frequent CME lectures.
