We have one goal: getting you concrete experience with opportunities to shine! These are full-time, paid internship positions at our First Quality Tissue SE, LLC facility located in Anderson, SC where you will work on real projects with real results! We also offer opportunities from social events and facility tours to lunch gatherings with company executives and other interns that allow you to network and gain a broader understanding of First Quality and its functions. At the conclusion of the summer, all interns will present their achievements to leaders at their location.
Our internships are broadly focused in scope and offer opportunities in the following areas:
Controls – Assist with efficiency improvement projects, equipment downtime tracking, and capital project support.
Data Scientists - Collaborate with experienced data scientists and engineers to develop machine learning models and conduct data science studies which drive innovation and improve business outcomes.
Environmental - Broadly focused on environmental management, compliance to standards, and continuous improvement of utilities operations.
Finance - Gain experience in the finance department with exposure to the senior finance staff, but also to the company’s plant finance organization and systems.
Information Technology - Provide technological development and project management support while managing day-to-day operations ensuring all networks and infrastructure are secure and functioning properly.
Maintenance / Reliability / Utilities – Assist with troubleshooting and maintaining production and any associated equipment, including upgrading equipment.
Planning / Supply Chain - Broad based in scope and may cover the areas of Demand/Deployment Planning, Logistics, Transportation, and Customer Service.
Procurement - Covers the areas of negotiation, spend category strategy development and execution, supply continuity, data compilation and analysis, and commodity market analysis.
Process / Technical – Assist in analyzing the operation of the machinery and implementing process, equipment, and procedural changes.
Product Development – Participate in research and development of current and future product trials.
Project / Packaging – Provide support for the installation and startup of new equipment and manufacturing systems, including design support.
Safety – Assist ongoing initiatives to reduce organizational risk through behavior modification, legal compliance and hazard mitigation.
Warehouse – Assist with the development of improved internal flows of self-guided vehicles and optimization of warehouse automated systems.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (or demonstrated progress toward a degree) in a related field of study:
Engineering (ChemE, EE, IE, ME, Materials Science, Packaging)
Data Science, Computer Science
Supply Chain/Logistics, Automation, Mechatronics
Accounting/Finance
Minimum 3.0 GPA
1-3 years of academic experience
Highly motivated, strong team player, with good ability to multi-task and re-prioritize as necessary
Excellent verbal and written communication skill
Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams
