We are looking for a Intern to join the Netskope Platform Engineering organization to help accelerate growth through automation. Within this organization the selected candidate would work on the Stack Automation team within Platform R&D, a group that is responsible for the delivery of infrastructure created through infrastructure as code and automation development. You will help build out our existing infrastructure and troubleshoot problems as they arise ensuring the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability of Netskope’s production services. 

Essential Functions

  • Design, develop, test, document, and implement strategies, automation, and solutions for Netskope’s production services.

Required Experience

  • 1-2+ years experience with troubleshooting Unix/Linux
  • 1-2+ years of experience with cloud infrastructure
  • 1-2+ years of experience in one or more of the following: Rust, Go, C, C++, Java, Python, Ruby

Qualifications

  • Comfortable navigating Linux via the command line
  • Hands-on working with private or public cloud services in a highly available and scalable production environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of computer internal architecture and design to include working knowledge of specific details and design of some variants of the *NIX based operating systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in particular when interfacing with peers in engineering and QA
  • Experience with continuous integration and deployment automation tools such as Jenkins (automated build, test, and deploy software), Ansible (configuration management), GitHub (code repository and management), Openstack (on-premise virtualization), etc.
  • Experience with modern cloud and virtualization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, KVM, OpenNebula, OpenStack or any orchestration platforms)
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills (including listening, speaking, and writing) and ability to work well in a diverse, team-focused environment with other SREs, developers, Product Managers, etc
  • Ability to complete a 10-12 week program beginning in February 2026 based in the United States
  • Authorization to work in the United States

Participate in the research and development of LLM (Large Language Model) and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) technologies, applying them to internal intelligent automation systems.

  • Currently enrolled or recently graduated in Computer Science, AI, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Python and basic API development (FastAPI, Flask, or Django).
  • Basic knowledge of machine learning or NLP and strong interest in LLM-related technologies.
  • Experience with data processing, including text data cleaning and analysis, to improve model performance.
  • Familiarity with Git version control and good coding practices for collaborative development. 

Education:

  • Enrollment in Engineering​ (or similar) Program: You must be currently enrolled in your university's engineering program.
  • Target Graduation Date: Your expected graduation date should be between May 2026 and December 2026. This places you in the final stages of your degree, likely during your junior or senior year.
  • Leadership and Academic Excellence: Applicants should demonstrate strong leadership qualities on campus, as well as a track record of academic success.
  • Eligibility for Internship During Academic Year: Your university must allow you to participate in internships that occur during the academic year, particularly in the Spring session.
