What you can look forward to

  • Time-resolved analysis of light-material interaction in transparent materials using a pump-probe microscope

  • Optical and mechanical implementation of novel optical concepts for glass processing with lasers incl. control and automation

  • Validation of optical concepts and testing of newly developed optical systems

  • Development and analysis of new machining processes with regard to laser parameters and beam shaping concepts

  • Independent processing and evaluation of the processes

  • Collaboration in the advanced development team, material processing with state-of-the-art USP lasers

 

Your qualifications

  • studies in physics, optics engineering, electrical engineering, control engineering or a comparable field of study

  • Laboratory experience with lasers/optics desired

  • First programming skills (Python/Matlab) appreciated

  • Knowledge of MS Office

  • Very good language skills in English and German

  • Analytical and conceptual skills, structured and independent way of working
