As part of Global Markets and Technologies (GM&T), the Maritime activity connects a wide range of global markets to essential molecules across borders and oceans. How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

As we address new geographies and scale our operations in the high-stakes Aerospace and Hydrogen Mobility markets, understanding the total cost of ownership (TCO) and the pricing strategies of our competitors is vital. The intern will analyze how competitors (e.g., Airflow, regional players) structure their deals compared to our integrated model.

1. Mission Context

A. Business Model Segmentation

The intern will categorize competitors based on their revenue engines:

  • Asset-Light / Brokerage: Players who lease T75s and resell logistics services.

  • Infrastructure Specialists: Companies focused on long-term equipment leasing (fixed monthly rates).

  • Integrated Solutions: Full-service providers (Molecule + Transport + On-site Storage).

B. Pricing Intelligence

This is the core of the 1-month sprint. The intern will gather data through two main channels:

Internal Intelligence: Conducting structured interviews with our Sales and Operations teams to extract "field data" (e.g., “What rates did we lose to in the last tender?” or “What are the current demurrage fees in KL?”).

External Benchmark: Digital "secret shopping" and OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) to find public tender results, tariff structures, and equipment rental market rates for 2026.

Core Tasks & Methodology

  • Internal Stakeholder Interviews: Design and lead 15-minute "flash interviews" with Sales Managers to identify pricing trends and competitor pain points.

  • Price Component Mapping: Breaking down the price of a T75 delivery into rental cost, molecule cost, tansport cost.

  • Aerospace  Focus: Investigating the specific "Premium" charged for high-purity gasestrequired by space clients.

Expected Deliverables

The "Pricing Playbook": A summary table of estimated competitor rates (Day rates vs. Trip rates) for key routes

Interview Insight Memo: A synthesis of the Sales Team's feedback on why we win or lose against Airflow and other challengers.

Revenue Model Comparison: A visual map showing where we are more competitive
