We’re looking for a motivated Intern with focus on Business and Data Analytics to join our Investment Operations Management team within Invesco Real Estate in Munich for a minimum duration of 6 months!
In this role, you’ll support live system implementations, contribute to data automation and analytics initiatives, and work closely with investment, operations, and technology teams across Europe. You’ll be exposed to real‑world projects that directly impact how our European real estate platform operates.
This internship is ideal for students or recent graduates who are data‑curious, technology‑minded, and interested in understanding how large investment organizations operate behind the scenes.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the rollout of a new treasury management system across the European business
Assist with onboarding and integrating banking partners
Help test system configurations, workflows, and reporting outputs
Document system processes, mappings, and functional specifications
Collaborate with IT and system administrators to troubleshoot issues
Support the deployment of a new rent roll management system across Europe
Assist with onboarding third-party service providers
Develop and document operational support processes
Help identify and implement automation opportunities, including the use of AI tools, to simplify data reviews and operational tasks
Help ensure the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of key data sets
Support reference data maintenance and cleansing activities
Perform data collection, validation, reconciliation, and anomaly detection
Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve data quality issues
Contribute to automation initiatives to enhance data quality processes
Support the design and improvement of automated data flows and system integrations
Partner with teams across the business on automation initiatives
Assist with enhancing APIs, interfaces, and data pipelines (no coding required — curiosity and willingness to learn are key)
Test data integrations and help document outcomes
Create insightful reports and analyses to support business decisions
Help define requirements for dashboards, KPIs, and reporting automation
Support the development and maintenance of Power BI dashboards
Produce ad‑hoc analyses as needed
What you can bring:
Currently pursuing (or recently completed) a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:Data Science; Computer Science; Information Systems; Business Analytics or a related discipline
Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivots; Power Query a plus)
Exposure to Power BI (basic data modeling and visuals
Basic SQL for querying and validating data
Some experience with Python or scripting is helpful
Interest in financial systems, data platforms, or business process automation
High attention to detail and data accuracy
Proactive, organized, and comfortable taking ownership
Curious mindset and willingness to learn new systems quickly
Confident working with IT teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors
Fluent English (German is a plus, not required)
You will be based in Munich for the full duration of the internship
Candidates must have a valid visa or work authorization covering the entire internship period and allowing them to work in Germany
