The opportunity
Join our Profit Center Surge Arresters in Wettingen, Switzerland, where we develop innovative and secure overvoltage protection solutions for power generation, distribution, railway, and industry. You’ll be part of a passionate team striving to lead in technology and customer satisfaction. This internship of at least 6 months offers hands-on experience in materials research and process development. You’ll contribute to impactful projects while learning from experts in a collaborative and supportive environment.
How you’ll make an impact
Support research on metal oxide varistor materials and manufacturing processes
Analyze samples using advanced characterization techniques
Explore links between process parameters, microstructure, and material properties
Document findings and present results to the research team
Conduct literature reviews to support ongoing research
Your background
Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Materials Science / Materials Engineering or a related discipline (official enrollment is essential)
Experience in ceramics and sinter technology is beneficial
Hands-on experience in lab work and background knowledge in material analysis methods such as microscope, SEM and spectroscopy
Enthusiastic, self-motivated mindset and ability to work independently
Fluent command of English, both written and spoken
