The future starts here! Ready to explore at NXP?
Join us for an internship and see how NXP shapes the next wave of digital innovation by bringing AI to the edge. The perfect place to grow, explore, and make an impact.
Your Team
The NXP Leuven design center focuses on ultra-low-power ICs for the healthcare segment. We offer internships to master students willing to extend their knowledge with a practical assignment.
Subject of the Internship
The goal of this internship is to assess the impact of the load impedance of a Bluetooth Low Energy Receiver, on transmitter modulation quality.
In the past the impedance of the balun has been optimized for Tx Power Amplifier (PA) efficiency. We want to repeat this exercise now for optimizing Initial Frequency Drift.
Your Responsibilities
The student intern will work on an existing validation setup and perform following tasks:
Building up knowledge on the existing IC, the validation setup in the lab and the software/hardware environment/tools.
Get acquainted with load-pull measurement equipment
Perform exhaustive sweeps across the impedance ranges with differential antenna interface
Demonstrate the results
Report conclusions and formulate concrete advices
Write a final report and make a presentation of the results
What’s in it for you
A great opportunity to develop your skills (technical, soft skills, communication, etc.)
Gaining experience in a multinational and diverse environment
Possibility to become part of NXP’s Young Professional Talent Pool
Working on real assignments which contribute to NXP’s objectives
Your Profile
First or second year of Master of Science –Engineer school
You have notions of IC design, signal processing, affinities with RF, analog and digital circuit design, notions of SW development.
You are creative and like hands-on work.
Experience in Linux environment is a plus
You have good communication
Good level of English is required (attendance to meetings / presentations with international team, reading and writing of documentation)
Duration
This is a full-time internship (39hours per week) with a duration of 9 weeks. Please note that in order to be considered for an internship/working student assignment, you need to be registered as a student during the entire period.
