Prudential Services Asia (PSA) group-wide shared services hub for the Prudential plc resides in Malaysia. Group Information Security and Privacy (GISP), is a function primarily focusing on IT Security and Privacy, across Asia, London and Africa. It has staff in Singapore, Malaysia, HK, London and more recently in Africa.

Ethical-Hacking and Penetration Testing (EPT) team focus on delivering hacking and penetration testing (pentest) services to Prudential businesses. In this internship program, you would experience being part of the industrial-standard IT security services provider to business all over the world. Importantly, we giving the opportunity to hands-on the pentest process end-to-end from scoping to result delivery to business in one of the top leading IT security shared services in financial institution. We are very much welcome applicants who hate the boring routine tasks and capable do thing in the most simplest way yet align to the given rules.

Job Title: Internship in Ethical Hacker

Prudential Services Asia:  Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Role Purpose:

  • Learn to manage and operate penetration end-to-end

Skills required:

  • Good skill in programming and/or scripting

Responsibilities

  • Learn to coordinate, manage, and organize the incoming penetration testing requests
  • Learn to review and deliver quality penetration testing report.
  • Learn to automate boring routine tasks and make existing process faster & better.
  • Learn to perform penetration tests on at least one of the domains - network infrastructure, web application/services, mobile applications, and wireless network
  • Learn to search for weaknesses in common software, proprietary systems, and third-party libraries/dependencies.
  • Learn to research, review, and provide feedback for security fixes
  • Learn to be sensitive in corporate consideration when performing testing, ranking vulnerabilities, and reporting
  • Learn to stay updated on the latest malware and security threats

Requirements:

  • Mandatory Language Skill: Good reading, written and spoken proficiency in English
  • Attitude: Organized, good with analytical skill and problem solving
