What will you do?
The intern will be responsible for capacity planning for the site’s storage facilities, focusing on visualizing and analyzing data to recommend solutions that address anticipated storage challenges. Key responsibilities include:
Data Automation: Streamlining data extraction and analysis using Python and VBA to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Dashboard Development: Designing and building interactive dashboards in Power BI to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency, including dashboards for warehouse capacity and solvent tank level monitoring.
Task Automation: Utilizing VBA and Python to automate repetitive tasks and processes, reducing manual effort and minimizing errors.
Data Visualization and Analysis: Leveraging tools like Power BI to visualize data trends and insights, supporting strategic planning.
Continuous Improvement: Contributing to initiatives aimed at reducing costs and ensuring campaign readiness by optimizing processes and workflows.

Technical Skills Development
Automation with Python and VBA: Gain hands-on experience in automating data extraction, analysis, and reporting processes using Python and VBA in a real-world pharmaceutical context.
Dashboard Development: Learn to design and create interactive dashboards in Power BI to enhance operational efficiency.
Advanced Excel Skills: Develop expertise in Excel for data analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
Capacity Planning for Storage Facilities
Forecasting and Planning: Use tools like Power BI and Excel to forecast demand and supply for raw materials based on the site’s Production Plan, Bill of Materials (BOM), Current Inventory, and Open Purchase Orders.
Space Utilization Planning: Develop a warehouse space utilization plan aligned with the site’s Production Plan.
Impact Assessments: Perform impact assessments on storage capacity when changes to the Production Plan are anticipated.
Problem-Solving and Feasibility Analysis: Analyze capacity forecasts to identify potential shortages, propose solutions to manage these challenges, and evaluate their feasibility.
Management of Engineering Spares and Lab Chemicals
Automated Inventory Management: Work with automated storage solutions such as Rotomat and Lean Lift to streamline processes like Cycle Counting, Binning, and Goods Issuance, with potential exposure to RFID technology for future enhancements.
Forecasting with Python: Develop forecasting models for Engineering Spares using Python to predict usage patterns and ensure optimal inventory levels.
Visualization of Key Metrics: Visualize Goods Receipt and Sampling Plan adherence to monitor and improve operational performance and compliance.
Improving Supplier Delivery Performance and Campaign Readiness
Supplier Performance Analysis: Visualize and analyze supplier delivery performance to improve material availability for production.
Contract Management Systems: Contribute to building a robust system for managing supplier contracts.
Campaign Readiness: Visualize campaign readiness based on the availability of raw materials and develop processes to monitor and review raw material stocking levels to support production campaigns effectively.
What are we looking for?

Adaptability to change and ability to work under pressure
Excellent communication skills to influence and build cordial relationships with the team and key business partners
Strong problem-solving skills driven by curiosity
Confidence in making judgments and decisions
Excellent project management skills and ability to prioritize tasks according to deadlines
Experience in programming (VBA Macros, Python) and data visualization (Power BI) preferred, though not required
