The internship will concentrate on Brushless DC (BLDC) and Brushed DC (BDC) motors used in automotive applications. The goal is to analyze their performance characteristics, conduct measurements, and create a comprehensive comparison of their main attributes.The internship will concentrate on Brushless DC (BLDC) and Brushed DC (BDC) motors used in automotive applications. Your Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
Motor Selection & Setup
Identify representative BLDC and BDC motors suitable for automotive roof systems.
Measurement & Data Acquisition
Perform tests to measure key parameters such as: Torque, Speed, Efficiency, Power consumption, Noise and vibration levels
Data Analysis & Visualization
Process measurement data and create clear charts and tables comparing BLDC vs. BDC performance.
Overview & Evaluation
Summarize findings in a structured report highlighting: Advantages and disadvantages of each motor type. Suitability for automotive roof applications. Cost and complexity considerations
Optional: Explore control strategies (PWM, sensor feedback) and their impact on performance.
What We Expect from You
3rd-year Bachelor student in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering (or similar)
Strong analytical skills and technical knowledge
Familiarity with motor control principles and measurement techniques
Basic coding skills (C/C++, Matlab/Simulink) for data processing
Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (LIN/CAN/UART) is a plus Deliverables
Measurement setup and methodology
Comparative data tables and graphs
Final report summarizing key findings and recommendations

You will receive a fee of €385,00 gross per month (40hrs). Additionally, we provide a travel compensation/NS card depending on your distance you travel for work.
