Internship program duration: 1st July'26 – 30th Nov’26

What You Will Do:   

In this role, you will perform the following day-to-day activities: 

  • Python Fundamentals: Strong grasp of Python, including OOP, decorators, and async programming. Ability to build REST APIs and CLI tools.
  • GenAI & RAG Basics: Understanding of prompting, embeddings, vector search, and evaluation techniques. Exposure to LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks.
  • Data Handling: SQL and Spark basics, with awareness of data quality, lineage, and governance.
  • Software Engineering Practices: Git, unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker).
  • Cloud Awareness: Basic familiarity with AWS services like Lambda, S3, and SageMaker.
  • Agentic AI Concepts: Interest in autonomous workflows, agent memory, and decision quality tracking.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to work independently on well-scoped tasks and communicate findings clearly.

Education and Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates should be:

  • Final-year undergraduate or graduate students pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics & Computing, or related technical disciplines, with strong fundamentals in programming, data handling, and AI concepts who are interested in converting to a full-time role post-graduation
  • Enthusiastic about building a long-term career in a dynamic, technology-driven organization
  • Effective communicators with the ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment
  • Open to feedback and committed to continuous learning and improvement
  • Motivated by real-world problem solving and eager to contribute innovative ideas

Certification nice to haves:

  • LangChain for LLM Application Development
  • Hugging Face Transformers Certification
  • AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty

Minimum Salary:

The minimum salary quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate ultimately works outside of this primary location, the applicable minimum salary may differ.​

Salary will be determined based on factors such as the position, type of work performed, individual skills, job description, working hours, diligence, initiative, self-management, length of employment, availability, and the quantity and quality of work delivered, as well as other objective and non-discriminatory criteria relevant to State Street employees.​

In addition to salary, employees are eligible to be considered for discretionary annual performance-based awards.​
