Position Overview:  

The International Tax Manager plays a critical role in Brunswick’s global tax organization, owning core U.S. international tax provision calculations related to non-U.S. income inclusions and foreign tax credits. The International Tax Manager also participates in tax compliance deliverables and advising on complex technical issues. Working cross-functionally with Finance, Treasury, and Legal this role ensures high-quality reporting, supports audits, and helps modernize international tax processes through data and technology. You’ll also contribute to global tax initiatives, including Pillar Two coordination and ongoing regulatory change management. The successful candidate must be self-directed, able to manage multiple projects, seek out opportunities to create value by streamlining processes, set priorities and meet deadlines

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for the preparation and review of international tax calculations including Subpart F, BEAT, foreign tax credits, basis, GILTI/NCTI, FDII/FDDEI, etc.

  • Serve as a primary technical resource for U.S. federal income tax reporting by coordinating data collection and reviewing international tax forms and disclosures (e.g., Forms 5471, 8858, 8865, 8992, 8990, 8975, 1118).

  • Coordinate with local contacts to gather information required to complete Pillar 2 obligations, including GIR, QDMTT, and any local registrations and notifications.

  • Partner with Treasury and other functions to support international operational activities, including dividends, intercompany financing, withholding taxes, and foreign exchange considerations.

  • Monitor global tax law developments, regulatory guidance, and emerging international tax frameworks, and assess potential impacts to the organization.

  • Assist with quarterly and annual foreign tax provision (Corptax), US GAAP risk assessment and SOX for foreign activities,

  • Ability and willingness to roll-up sleeves and delve into a broad range of international tax projects, including transfer pricing, tax provision, tax planning, international tax compliance and implementation,

  • Excellent tax research and analytical skills with a focus on continuous learning regarding global and US income taxes and tax accounting.

  • Provide support and documentation for IRS and foreign tax audits

  • Prepare spreadsheet analyses & reports using Excel, Corptax, Smartview, PowerBI and Vantage Point, and ability to analyze and manipulate complex financial and tax data sets

  • Assist with internal and external audit requests

  • Support cross-functional initiatives such as entity simplification, supply-chain changes, and M&A integration as they relate to international tax

  • Drive transformation that provides continuous improvement, enables enterprise growth, and captures value

  • Continually monitor technology and industry best practices, apply creative problem-solving and bring forward innovative solution

Required Qualifications:   

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required,

  • 5 + years’ experience in corporate income taxation at a multinational corporation and US International experience is required.

  • Some public accounting experience and advanced certification preferred (MST/CPA/JD)

  • Excellent organizational, project management, analytical and verbal/written communication skills

  • Proficiency with tax applications, e.g., Corptax, OneSource Tax Provision, VantagePoint, etc

  • Ability to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment while taking ownership of work product

  • Experience performing analysis on large data sets and presenting concise results to key stakeholders

  • An investigative and analytical mind to identify potential issues and develop a point of view on the best solution

 

The anticipated pay range for this position is $103,200 - $144,000 annually The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.

At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
