The Gig:
You’re a self-motivated detective and serial problem solver, who delivers top-level service with every interaction and an undeniable talent for getting things done. This position is critical for helping us support the international sales function and remove blockers from the operation to clear the path for optimal growth in the respective markets.
As an International Sales Operations you will work closely with International Sales leadership, interdepartmental contacts and our First Mates in multiple markets to service queries, identify roadblocks and proactively resolve issues in a timely manner. You will have your finger on the pulse of the latest business updates and be a vital source of information and support to multiple stakeholders. This role is critical in running a smooth sales operation and for clearing the path for future growth.
In charge of the International Trade Support Team, you’re responsible for co-ordinating the workload across three trade-facing inboxes that service ten territories and are constantly flexing to meet volume of enquiries as well as hit KPIs on service levels and standards. You and your team are also one of the first points of contact for a new agency wishing to join forces with us and you will supervise their onboarding by pulling on various levers to make our systems integrate with theirs. Their agents will be off to a flying start with your systems guidance!
This is a varied role that can be very reactive. Juggling requests with varying degrees of complexity and urgency is the norm. Each conversation supports driving trade momentum and trust in our respective markets. Working with First Mates and agency contacts you are front and center in strengthening our relationships with our key national accounts (Red Hot Accounts), plus nurturing increased business from upcoming partners.
This gig is based at VVHQ - our swanky Virgin Voyages Head Office in Plantation, FL where we follow a hybrid work environment. We can't wait to 'sea' you in person during our Collaboration Days, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, while you enjoy Mondays and Fridays' as remote days.
What You'll Be Up To:
Report into the Vice President, International Sales and maintain open communication on activity and updates
Manage the International Trade Support Team and co-ordinate their daily activity, pivoting where needed based on activity levels
Oversee the management of the trade-facing inboxes
Accountable for achieving team KPIs and maintaining service standards on email replies
In-depth knowledge of our internal systems including Seaware and Salesforce to be better placed to offer suggestions for improvements to benefit the Sales Operation
Identify issues that arise based on First Mate feedback and execute the most effective solution as fast as possible to clear the path
Support international events & Red Hot Account strategy and open doors of opportunity thanks to your systems knowledge. Advise on how best to execute strategic campaigns within the bounds of system capabilities
Responsible for attending business change meetings and represent International Sales and our business priorities.
Represent the team during PI Prioritization to ensure our development requests are approved and executed
Report back to sales management and the wider time any relevant points of interest
Oversee the tour operator invoicing process in conjunction with the Cash Ops Team and Accounts Receivable
Support new agency registrations, Seacademy queries and the submission of supplier invoices and conduct systems training alongside the Sales Team
Maintain and nurture strong relationships with Red Hot Accounts and Key Accounts

Serve as a liaison between assigned accounts and key corporate departments, including Sales Planning, Call Center, Finance, and Accounting, ensuring seamless communication and alignment.
Superpowers Required:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (7+ years experience) required
Minimum 5 years in travel or hospitality sales; cruise industry preferred
Working knowledge of travel industry consortia, HOST, and franchise accounts
Proven experience growing business from large accounts across a variety of models
Fully bilingual in English and Spanish, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
Demonstrated robust presentation skills, with the ability to confidently deliver compelling presentations to partners and stakeholders.
Knowledge of the cruise market and its sales strategies across a variety of segments
An appreciation for how paramount customer and partner experiences are for Virgin to be successful
Ability and willingness to travel approximately 20–30% as required to support partners and business needs.
