What’s The Role
As Internal Communications Insights Advisor, you will manage Shell’s global employee insights programme. Using quantitative and qualitative research, digital tools and data analytics, you’ll uncover insights on employee sentiment and the effectiveness of our internal communications.
You’ll be part of the Insights and Analytics team within Shell’s Strategic Communications and Brand division—a global team of communications, engagement and brand professionals who combine storytelling, creative content, and data-driven insights to shape Shell’s narrative.
As an experienced insights professional, you’ll work closely with our Internal Communications & Engagement team to deliver actionable insights that go beyond data patterns or anecdotal evidence, helping shape a communications strategy that truly connects with employees.
What You’ll Be Doing
Reporting to the Head of Digital Analytics in the Insights and Analytics team, you will:
Manage and execute quantitative and qualitative employee insights projects, analyse data and collaborate with colleagues to deliver actionable insights.
Measure and interpret the performance of internal communications across digital channels such as the intranet, employee engagement platforms and leadership webcasts.
Collaborate with colleagues across businesses and regions to co-create relevant and actionable insights.
Product regular reports for senior stakeholders.
Work with the broader Insights and Analytics team to integrate internal and external insights into compelling narratives.
What You Bring
Significant experience of qualitative and quantitative research either client-side or consultancy and evidence of best practice analytical knowledge.
Proven ability in data analytics, able to analyse data from multiple sources including web and opinion research and turn it into accurate, meaningful insights.
Extensive proficiency with digital analytics with deep skills in web analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics and employee engagement platforms.
Significant experience of using audience and communications insights to go beyond observations, interpreting in the context of strategic priorities to form actionable insights.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex data, develop accurate, actionable insights and engage with subject matter experts and senior stakeholders. Fluency in English is mandatory.
Curiosity about what drives effective internal communications and employee engagement.
Highly collaborative, with strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to engage and inspire at all levels.
Self-starter able to lead and shape programmes, operate amid ambiguity and to be front-footed and proactive.
Strong strategic thinking and sound judgement.
