What will you be doing?
In this role you will help deliver internal audit engagements that span different regions, functions and processes across Smith+Nephew. You will work closely with experienced colleagues as you plan and carry out audits, explore how different areas of the business operate and develop trusted relationships with stakeholders. Your work will take you deep into our systems and operations, using data and approved AI solutions to develop insights and recommendations. Over time you will shape meaningful improvements by assessing risks, understanding root causes and supporting teams as actions are implemented.
What will you need to be successful?
You will be successful in this role if you are naturally inquisitive, focused on quality and enjoy understanding how things work. You will feel confident analysing information, collaborating with others and communicating your findings clearly and respectfully.
Key requirements include:
A degree level education and financial literacy with a recognised accounting or audit qualification
At least 3-5 year post qualified experience gained in either the profession and or a large corporate internal audit risk management finance department
- Strong understanding of audit methodology (including the IIA standards), risk based auditing and data analytics,
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- English C1
