Internal Audit & IT SOX (Temporary)

Overview

Seeking a Senior Associate–level Risk Consulting professional to support a temporary engagement focused on internal audit execution and IT SOX testing within large, global banking environments. Hands-on role requiring immediate contribution with minimal ramp-up.

Responsibilities

  • Execute internal audit and SOX 404 / ICFR testing
  • Perform and document process walkthroughs, narratives, and controls
  • Test IT General Controls (ITGCs): access, change management, IT operations
  • Prepare clear, audit-ready workpapers and documentation
  • Identify control gaps and support remediation efforts
  • Coordinate with control owners and engagement teams in complex banking environments

Qualifications

  • 4 plus years internal audit, risk consulting, or SOX experience
  • Must have experience supporting large, global banking institutions
  • Strong hands-on experience with internal audit testing and documentation
  • IT SOX / ITGC experience required
  • Public company and regulated financial services experience strongly preferred
  • Strong written communication and documentation skills

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $62 - $92 per hour
