Job Description & Summary

At PwC Gibraltar, the Accounts Assistant will provide essential support to the finance team by assisting with daily sales and receipts transaction processing, performing financial reconciliations, and supporting regular financial reporting activities. This role also includes assisting with internal and external audit queries to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process daily sales and receipts transactions accurately and timely.
  • Perform financial reconciliations, including bank reconciliations and ledger account reconciliations.
  • Assist in the preparation of weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports.
  • Support the finance team during internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to audit queries.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.
  • Assist with payment processing and invoice matching as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial data accuracy.
  • Uphold confidentiality and security of financial information.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and controls.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Proven experience in an accounting or finance assistant role is preferred.
  • Understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Education:
A relevant qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field.
