Intern- US Expansion Industrial Engineer

Would you like to work in one of the most complex Fab environments in the world? As an industrial engineering intern in our research and development factory you will work on projects that further optimize our very automated factory. This role will provide exposure to larger data sets than you have ever worked with and will challenge your data management skills. Not only will this role significantly grow your skills but will also provide exceptional value to the organization on a real issue in our factory!

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Identify key performance indicators for program success.
  • Construct infographics that display key information in easy-to-understand formats.
  • Optimize capacity of equipment base and lead site- and tool-level optimization studies for efficiency improvement
  • Collaborate with partners to understand future tool and process roadmaps, and calculate network capacity impacts of process changes
  • Lead and communicate improvement opportunities and implementation plans to all relevant levels and functions in manufacturing
  • Apply new (e.g. Python, SQL, R) and traditional (Excel, VBA) methods to improve and automate tasks in the planning system/models
  • Use large data sources to extract and analyze data.
  • Build reporting in Tableau and other systems to convey data to program teams.

Qualifications:

  • Skilled in Autodesk AutoCAD, Revit, and Inventor
  • Experience turning sophisticated and ambiguous problem statements into structured solutions while working in a highly multi-functional environment
  • Experience operating independently while maintaining a high degree of organization and control
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting data, drawing conclusions, defining recommended actions, and reporting results across diverse technical and non-technical groups
  • Experience working in teams, establishing and maintaining multi-functional and working relationships
  • Skilled in Project and Program Management.
  • Understanding of Manufacturing Operations.
  • Time management and prioritization skills and proven ability to follow basic procedures and work with minimal supervision.
  • Advanced communication skills and ability to present effectively to a wide variety of audiences.
  • Strong proficiency with Excel, Tableau or other data management and visualization software.

Education Requirements:

  • Working towards completion of Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the following areas: industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, supply chain or related discipline with expected graduation after this internship timeframe
  • Must be returning to school. Must not graduate before September 2026
