Job Description:

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a motivated Summer Intern Technician to join our Cesium Beam Tube (CBT) department. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment, working alongside experienced technicians. You will receive comprehensive on-the-job training to develop the skills and knowledge necessary for success in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly tasks in a cleanroom environment.
  • Perform sand blasting and cleaning of parts to prepare them for assembly.
  • Operate furnaces as part of the manufacturing process.
  • Follow detailed work instructions and adhere to cleanroom protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality standards are met.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Willingness to work in a cleanroom environment and comply with safety procedures.
