Position Summary
Plug Power Inc. is actively seeking a highly motivated student to join our team. The student will be responsible for assisting in a wide variety of initiatives and projects in support of your academic studies and interests. In this role, you will gain exposure to a fast-paced manufacturing and engineering environment which includes developing a detailed understanding of Plug Power’s products.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain recordkeeping requirements and documentation controls to ensure compliance with functional safety standards and audit readiness.
- Support the development and documentation of safety lifecycle activities in accordance with IEC 61511, including hazard analysis, safety requirement definition, and verification tracking.
- Assist engineers with validation, testing, and safety case documentation to ensure design compliance and traceability across functional safety deliverables.
- Gain a foundational understanding of industry standards, regulations, and best practices in manufacturing and technology.
- Communication and Collaboration
- Develop effective communication skills by collaborating with team members and presenting findings to different stakeholders.
Education and Qualification
- Pursuing a Bachelor of Science, Master's or PhD degree in X or a related program
- Must have reliable transportation to the office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Possess solid hands-on approach to problem-solving
- Demonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detail
- Excellent follow-through
- Must be driven and self-motivated
Estimated Base Salary Range:
$21.00 - $25.00
