Job Summary:
The Pharmacy Intern, under the direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist and in accordance with all State and Federal laws, assists with the selection, preparation, distribution, and record keeping of all medications dispensed to inpatients of St. Elizabeth Healthcare. The intern will also be provided opportunities to expand their clinical knowledge by assisting with clinical consultations via hospital protocols; completing medication histories; counseling on anticoagulation and methotrexate; converting medications from IV to PO; and adjusting medications for renal and hepatic function. Pharmacy Interns will adhere to the ICARE principles and exhibit the AIDET principles.Job Description:
