Page Six Social Media Intern The New York Post provides readers with the best in News, Sports, Pop Culture and Entertainment – with signature wit, irreverence and authority averaging 90 million unique viewers a month. Over the past 224 years, The Post has evolved into a multi-platform media company spanning print, digital, video, audio, app, television and commerce. From celebrity news to viral stories and breaking headlines, the New York Post is the place where news, culture, and entertainment collide. Our Audience Development team is seeking a creative, social-media-savvy Page Six Social Media Intern (24 hours/week) to join our team! The ideal candidate lives and breathes pop culture, celebrity news, and entertainment, and has a strong understanding of the Page Six brand. This intern will play a key role in creating, editing, and publishing content across our social platforms, helping shape how millions of readers see and engage with Page Six every day. You’ll work closely with our social and editorial teams to produce eye-catching videos, write sharp captions, and brainstorm ideas that get people talking. Note: This internship is scheduled to run from February 2, 2026 - April 10, 2026 . Participants are expected to work part time hours and adhere to our on-site work schedule. Open to current juniors and seniors pursuing a BA, MA students, and recent graduates who completed their degree within the past year What You’ll Do: ● Assist in managing and scheduling daily content across all Page Six social platforms (Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok, Threads, etc.). ● Create short-form videos, reels, and social-first clips that capture the signature Page Six tone. ● Write attention-grabbing captions and headlines that drive engagement. ● Brainstorm and pitch creative social campaigns, trending content, and interactive ideas. ● Edit and optimize videos and graphics for various social formats. ● Track trends, memes, and breaking entertainment moments to keep Page Six ahead of the conversation. ● Monitor analytics and engagement metrics to identify what’s resonating with audiences. ● Collaborate with editors, producers, and designers to align social content with larger brand and editorial goals. What We’re Looking For: ● Current junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree, graduate student, or recent graduate (within the past year) in journalism, communications, digital media, or a related field. ● Deep knowledge of Page Six, pop culture, and celebrity news. ● Strong writing and social editing skills with an instinct for what performs on each platform. ● Proficiency with social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, YouTube Shorts) and content creation tools (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Canva, etc.). ● Strong eye for visuals, trends, and audience engagement. ● Highly organized, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced newsroom environment. ● Experience managing or growing a social account (personal, school publication, or brand) is a plus.
