EquipmentShare is searching for a student intern to join the team at our Home Office in Columbia, MO for the SUMMER of 2026.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Mechanical engineering - design work including CAD modelling, drawing development, drawing package preparation, process documentation, data analysis, competitive benchmarking.
  • Documentation of processes, including design and development processes.
  • Mechanical Design - Component level concepts and design, component and sub-system spec and development for various mechanical systems, including sheet metal. 
  • Truck Upfit - BOM development and component selection and specification. 
  • Construction equipment attachment design and documentation - Design of attachments for construction equipment, as well as competitive benchmarking and specification documentation.

About You

You will be expected to work within the hours of Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm.

What You're Working With

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 
  • Possess skills in: CAD software, mechanics, hydraulics, materials
  • Experience working with hand tools
  • Experience in technical report writing
