About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented intern to help MARTIN strengthen relationships with the lighting design community across key markets (LA, NYC, Nashville). This role will focus on building a comprehensive database of lighting designers, organizing monthly Martin Social events, and supporting strategic engagement initiatives that foster long-term partnerships.

What You Will Do

  • Compile a comprehensive list of lighting designers segmented by market vertical (Touring, Theater, Architainment, House of Worship, Broadcast, Themed Entertainment).
  • Gather detailed profiles for each designer, including project history, specialties, and current engagements.
  • Maintain and update this information in the CRM for easy access by the sales team.
  • Assist in planning and executing monthly Martin Social events in LA, NYC, and Nashville.
  • Identify projects for behind-the-scenes presentations during events.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create social media stories featuring Martin products in designer projects.
  • Ensure event activities and engagement metrics are documented in the CRM.
  • Help the sales team stay informed about designers’ upcoming tours, installations, and activations.
  • Contribute ideas to enhance the flywheel of regular engagement between MARTIN and the LD community.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program in Sophomore year or later, or graduate/Ph. D program at an accredited institution taking at least one class in the semester prior to the internship program and returning to school for at least one semester upon completion of the internship program.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or related field.
  • Strong research and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and social media platforms.

Bonus Points if You Have

  • Interest in entertainment technology, lighting design, or live events.

What Makes You Eligible

  • Be willing to work in an office in Northridge, CA.  (HYBRID)
  • Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
  • Must provide own housing and transportation to/from work
  • Must provide proper work authorization
